Drift is a keepsake. You're trusting us with your email and your little one's name, and we take that seriously. This page explains, plainly, what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions anytime: hello@driftlullabies.com.
Who we are
Drift Lullabies ("we," "us") creates personalized, AI-generated lullabies. You can reach us at hello@driftlullabies.com.
Who can use Drift
Drift is for adults 18 and older. Accounts are created and held by parents, guardians, and other adults. Drift is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Some things you tell us are about a child — a first name, a wish for them — but you, the adult, choose to provide them. If you believe a child created an account, email us and we'll remove it.
What we collect
Things you give us:
- Account information — your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored in hashed form; we never see your actual password.
- Lullaby inputs — the baby's first name (or a nickname you choose), and your answers about the feeling, wish, imagery, and any special words you'd like woven in. You may also add a short written letter.
- Gift details — if you send a lullaby as a gift: the recipient's email, your email, and any message you write.
- Payments — when payments are enabled, card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
- Support — anything you send us by email.
Collected automatically: basic technical and usage information — such as pages visited and general device/browser type — used to run, secure, and improve the service. We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics that don't identify you personally or track you across other websites. To understand how the site is used, we also store a random identifier in your browser's local storage; it isn't a cross-site tracking cookie. We don't use advertising trackers and we don't sell your information.
How your lullaby is made
Your lullaby's lyrics and audio are generated by artificial intelligence. To create it, the inputs you provide are sent to trusted third-party AI providers so they can produce your song. We share only what's needed to make the lullaby.
How we use your information
- To generate, store, and deliver your lullaby.
- To monitor and improve the quality, safety, and accuracy of the lullabies we generate.
- To create and manage your account.
- To send transactional messages (your lullaby is ready; a gift receipt or notification).
- To provide support and respond to you.
- To keep Drift secure and prevent abuse.
- To send you marketing email only if you joined our waitlist or opted in — you can unsubscribe anytime.
- To comply with the law.
Who we share it with
We share information with the service providers who help us run Drift, only so they can perform their function for us. They fall into a few categories:
- Cloud hosting and database storage
- Payment processing (when payments are enabled)
- Email delivery — both transactional messages and, if you opted in, waitlist email
- AI content generation (to create your lullaby's lyrics and audio)
- Security and abuse prevention
We work only with established providers, require them to protect your information, and don't let them use it for their own purposes. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for third-party advertising. If you'd like the current list of the specific providers we use, just email hello@driftlullabies.com.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
Your child's information
Some inputs are about a child, and we treat them as sensitive. We never publish your answers or your child's name. Your lullaby and account are private by default — only people you share a link with can hear the song. You can delete a lullaby, or your whole account, at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and lullabies until you delete them or ask us to. When you delete a lullaby or request account deletion, we remove the associated data from our active systems within 30 days, except for limited records we're required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices and rights
- Access, delete, or correct — you can delete individual lullabies in the app. To delete your whole account or make any other request, email hello@driftlullabies.com and we'll take care of it.
- Marketing opt-out — every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- State privacy rights — depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to not be treated differently for exercising them. Contact us at the email above to exercise any of these.
Security
We use reputable providers and encrypt your information in transit. No online service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
Where your information is processed
Drift Lullabies is based in the United States, and your information is processed here. If you use Drift from outside the US, you understand your information is transferred to and processed in the US.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Drift grows. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know.
